Relaxin is a hormone which is produced by the corpus luteum when the fertilized egg implants. Relaxin was created to detect the presence of this hormone in the blood, and is a reliable and specific test for pregnancy diagnosis. The test should be done day 35 after breeding. Relaxin will also determine a pseudopregnancy since there will be no Relaxin circulating. Relaxin testing is also important for monitoring pregnancy. Use Relaxin to detect any rapid drop in serum relaxin which would indicate a lost pregnancy.

Peace of Mind

After a successful mating, I wanted to confirm my dog's pregnancy without a vet visit. This test gave me peace of mind, and a subsequent ultrasound confirmed the results. Highly recommend for breeders looking for an at-home solution.
